She heaved a sigh, rubbing her forehead as she waited for the order members to arrive. Perhaps the two had some unsettled history with The Berserker.
—
Eros was practically thrown into a rather large reading chair by his bond, his body failing him as he sunk into it like a stone. Before any words could be said, she straddled his lap.
Eros could only gaze up at her as she cradled his face, and placed her forehead against his.
“My beloved, be still. How were you to know? She could have been properly cared for while here.”
When he tried to wrench his face free in anger, Lycia held it firmly with a gentle touch. She raised her face, laying her cold nose against his forehead. He released a sigh, bringing his hands to rest above her hips.
“She is being held as a prisoner, Lycia. They stripped her of her armor, and she referred to Freyja as The Berserker and as Eris.”
At this he forced his head up, a shine of worry glistening in his eyes to her.
“What more can that say?” He dropped his head, still cradled by Lycia, and dropped it to her chest.
“I failed her.”
With gentle force Lycia brought his head up, and without a word captured his lips. Such fire was held in that one action that Eros was completely still, feeling a blush quickly flood his face and ears.
“If you wont return the gift, boy, then I will.” Nesheph cooed, her voice taking it’s semi-rare soft and playful tone.
Though he felt Nesheph’s aura begin to flood his body to assume control, he quickly joined in, as the two responded to Lycia in kind.
She pulled away from him, her nose a hair from his.
“Know that whatever state she is in, no matter how calm I appear, I boil just as fiercely as you.” One of her hands rubbed his cheek, a soft look in her eyes.
“We must stand above our anger, least we regret our actions.”
Eros averted his eyes, before looking back.
“What if I don't regret my actions, Lycia.”
She gave a fierce and determined glare.
“Then we will deal with the consequences as they come. But promise me you both will try.”
“I will try.” Eros's voice promised.
“As will I. None will die by my power.” Nesheph’s smokey voice possessed Eros.
The duo fell silent as the room’s door was knocked upon.
“Enter.” Came Kaendra's firm command as she stood from her desk, arms crossing behind her back.
